It tells the story of three very different families competing for the right to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they think will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both starred in the Ice Age franchise (from 2002 to present). I’m always a little nervous when such big names star in a Netflix limited series. But it seemed to me that this cast did really well and ticked all the boxes. Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow have a certain chemistry that is perfect for this story. I’m always happy to see Linda Cardellini in a role like this. Excellent pacing, appropriate tension, plenty of comedic relief. I wasn’t expecting such a twist this time, and every plot thread seemed to be wrapped up in the last episode. I haven’t managed it yet! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a palette cleanser in this new, fast-paced world of streaming.
